Why the hell do people use those damn tags.
They're long and inconvenient to type out and just look kind-of stupid.
This issue is compounded with a bit more frivvel by deviantart providing the ability to attach a creative-commons license to any piece you upload. with just a few clicks. RIGHT FROM THE SUBMISSION PAGE.
No typing required.
I realize that some people might not get what CC is, and honestly I don't really blame them. deviantart doesn't do much along the line of actually explaining what CC is to the user, and most people don't really want to go to the CC Website and find out about it. Actually, going to there main page tells you nothing. You need to link through to their about page (the link to which is not highlit on the main page but still pretty easy to find).
Now, back to DA providing the ability to add a CC license to any work- it's a good thing they do because again, CC's website doesn't make it too clear exactly where on the site you have to go to get a license yourself. Sure, it's right there on the front page but it really isn't made to be a focal point.
Anyway- that's my rant.
Don't use the , use the CC. It's easier, looks better, and is more legit because it's backed up by some legal mumbo jumbo (unlike your tags).
